Why SuperMoms Must Snack on Dry Fruits: It’s self-love, Maa!

Why SuperMoms Must Snack on Dry Fruits: It’s self-love, Maa!

You know how you always say, “Sab mere bina kaise chalega?” You’re absolutely right, nothing runs without you. Not the home, not the WhatsApp family group, and definitely not the kitchen.

Every morning, before the world even begins to stir, you’re already on your feet checking, chopping, planning, caring. You’re the quiet force that keeps everything running but in making sure everyone’s fed, healthy, and happy, you somehow forget you! So today, I’m reminding you of something small yet very powerful! And these tiny things deserve a place right next to your masala dabba.

Let’s start with almonds! The ones you’ve been soaking for us since we were little. It’s time you eat them too! They're like your morning prayer, it is simple, essential, and full of good things. They help sharpen your memory & strengthen your bones.

And you must eat walnuts, because they’re so good for your brain! I know you’ve been forgetting where you kept your specs lately (check on your head first) so this will improve memory and even boost your mood. Think of them as your daily insurance for a calm mind and a happy heart!

Pistachios are your perfect TV snack, instead of munching on mathris, try a handful of pista during your evening chai!  They’re crunchy and actually help your eyes and sugar levels. No, I’m not joking, these are doctor-approved chakhna!

And, cashews are not just for shahi paneer or kaju katli, maa! They’re rich in iron and help fight tiredness. You always say you feel low on energy by the afternoon. A few cashews might just keep you going without needing that third cup of chai.

Oh, and remember how Nani used to roast makhana with a pinch of salt? Turns out, she was ahead of the health game. Light, filling, and full of antioxidants, makhana is your perfect guilt-free anytime and anywhere snack.

Nothing fancy, just add a small bowl of mixed nuts to your day coz you deserve to feel strong, sharp, and shiny, just like the steel masala dabba you’ve been using for 20 years.

Take care of yourself the way you take care of all of us because we still need you to find things only you can find. Like lost keys. And comfort. And love!
